Designed in Spode's studio in Stoke on Trent, UK.  

Golden Lily and Blackthorn were designed by John Henry Dearle (1859-1932) for Morris & Co between 1897 - 1901. Dearle was Morris's apprentice, partner and successor at Morris & Co.
