Hines of Oxford Tree of Life Blue Tapestry - 2 sizes

From Hines of Oxford, beautiful fine quality jacquard loom woven fabric tapestry featuring The Tree of Life design by John Henry Dearle from 1910 in a blue colourway. This tapestry is fully lined and incorporates a sleeve pocket along the top for a hanging rod. 

Fabric is woven in Flanders by Master Weavers and tapestry is lined in England.

The Tree of Life design featured on an embroidered wool door portiere designed by John Henry Dearle (1860-1932) for Morris & Co. Dearle succeeded William Morris as Art Director at the firm after Morris's death in 1896.
