From Hines of Oxford, fine quality cotton jacquard woven tapestry wall hanging depicting a scene from The Forest tapestry designed by William Morris.
Tapestry measures 49 cm x 84 cm long (1'7" x 2'9") and is lined and incorporates a rod pocket at the top for hanging as a wall decoration. We also sell expandable hanging rods for this purpose.
Fabric is woven in Flanders by Master Weavers and lined in England.
The majestic lion, hare and fox feature on The Forest tapestry designed by William Morris in 1887 at Merton Abbey and woven by Morris & Co's three most senior weavers. The Forest depicts scrolling acanthus leaves, a lion, peacock, hare and fox amongst wildflowers and was one of Morris & Co's finest tapestries.
