Hines of Oxford Golden Lily Tapestry Footstool
From Hines of Oxford, this fine quality cotton jacquard loom woven handmade tapestry footstool features the Golden Lily design by John Henry Dearle (1859-1932).
This handmade stool has wood turned bun feet with traditional brass stud detailing.
Measures 35 cm x 35 cm x 15 cm (14" x 14" x 6").
Tapestry fabric is woven in Flanders by master weavers and the stool is Made in England.
We also sell a matching tapestry cushion featuring the Golden Lily design.
Golden Lily was designed by John Henry Dearle for Morris & Co in 1897. Dearle was Morris's apprentice, partner and design successor at the firm working for the company for 54 years.
