This piece of furniture was made by the fine furniture makers L & J.G Stickley Inc. of Manilus New York in 2004. The company was founded by Leopold and John George Stickley (brothers of Gustav) in 1905. The company was revived in 1994 and began by reissuing the historic Mission Oak Collection using the same level of quality and construction that reflects the Craftsman philosophy in which the original pieces were designed. Many of the handcrafted methods used are the same as those used by the Stickley brothers and others are more contemporary techniques to increase the durability of the classic designs.
