From Hines of Oxford, fine quality jacquard loom woven tapestry cushion with a beige velvet back featuring the Strawberry Thief design by William Morris in a red colourway.

Cushion has a concealed zip fastener and inner duck feather pad.

Fabric is woven in Flanders and cover and duck feather inner pad are Made in England by Hines of Oxford.

This large cushion measures: 46 cm x 46 cm (18" x 18") and weighs approximately 1.1 kg.

William Morris designed Strawberry Thief in 1883 with birds drawn by his friend architect Philip Webb. Strawberry Thief was inspired by the Morris family efforts to grow strawberries at Kelmscott Manor but being thwarted by thrushes who would creep under the netting and eat the fruit. Morris insisted that the birds be left undisturbed.
