Hines of Oxford William Morris Woodpecker Tapestry Cushion 13"

From Hines of Oxford, fine quality cotton jacquard loom woven tapestry cushion with beige velvet back featuring the Woodpecker design by William Morris. 

Cushion measures 33 cm x 33 cm (13" x 13") and has a concealed zip-fastener and removable feather pad.

The tapestry fabric is woven in Flanders by master weavers and the cushion is Made in England by Hines of Oxford.

Woodpecker was woven at the Morris and Co. works in Merton Abbey in 1885 and was Morris's first design at Merton Abbey for a tapestry. The original tapestry wall hanging can be seen in the William Morris Gallery at Walthamstow.
