From Hines of Oxford, fine quality cotton jacquard woven tapestry cushion with beige velvet back featuring the lion from the famous Forest tapestry by William Morris. 

Lion is facing left on this cushion which has a concealed zip fastener and removable feather pad.

Fabric is woven in Flanders by master weavers and cushion is Made in England by Hines of Oxford.

Measures 38 cm x 48 cm (15" x 19").

The majestic lion features on The Forest Tapestry designed by William Morris in 1887 at Merton Abbey and woven by Morris & Co's three most senior weavers. The Forest depicts scrolling acanthus leaves, a lion, peacock hare and fox amongst wildflowers and was one of Morris & Co's finest tapestries.
