Set of twenty high quality cards based on Arts & Crafts block print designs by William S Rice (1873-1963) who took inspiration from the landscapes of Northern California.

Cards measure 5" x 7" with five of each of the four designs:
Coast Guard (c.1927), Moonrise-Eucalyptus Grove (1925), Redwood Monarchs (1925) & Hollyhock Garden (c.1925)

William Seltzer Rice was born in Pennsylvania, USA but moved to Northern California in 1900 when the region's Arts & Crafts movement was flowering. He became devoted to block printing and designed, carved and printed the blocks himself.
